My name is Neha Nasar and here is a little information about myself. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and have lived in the little city of Lilburn my whole life. Academically, I am drawn towards the subjects of biology and psychology. I have always been very science driven and have had a constant curiosity of how small cells determine the basis of our existence. The heavy emphasis on biology is one of the main reasons I decided to go to Agnes Scott. Since I have been taking classes such as Psychology and Biology, my love and passion for science has only amplified. Outside from school, I have an interest in singing which I often do at my church. Singing has been an outlet for me  to channel my energy in a healthy way. I also enjoy writing when I am not given any guidelines or rubrics and it is more of a “free write” situation. Another one of my interests would be taking care of others and helping out the people around me and I have been acting on this interest by volunteering at my church as a religious education teacher on Saturdays, helping to organize walks to alleviate global poverty, and always looking for opportunities to get involved in my community. I have a specific interest in taking care of kids as I come from a big family and I have always been the “older sister.” This is also why I would potentially like to pursue a career in the field of pediatrics in the future.
